Title:
Nothin's Goin' On Here
Style: groovy, sparsely arranged, odd
Rules Broken: Tuning (some things in the right speaker use a different pitch reference from some things in the left); structure (no obvious verse and
chorus structure); Lyrics (each verse seems to be about a completely different topic; less like a song and more like a disjointed stream of consciousness)
Topic: The music business is going through a painful metamorphosis as established methods
of marketplace control loose their grip. Stylistically, each form of popular music whether country, rock, rap or jazz has effectively strangled originality
from it's artists repertoires in an effort to repeat previous successes. As Caesar likes to point out "when the old burns down, the new will rise". The
time has come for a new breed of artist, a new breed of radio, a new breed of retail. "It's a beautiful thing, this new music scene. " - C.Bach 2004
