Rules Broken: Releasing a demo. This is the first normal song by industry standards but with very
strange production. This was originally a demo cut at Otto's house and remixed for this CD. The snare was covered with a towel and the overheads are all
panned to the right. Tremendous EQ and gating effects were added to "remove the towel" during the mixing stage of production. These strange sounds and what some
would consider a poor recording by modern standards will keep this interesting song far from major industry outlets.
Topic: This tune is about the forces in your life that would have you sell your soul. In one verse
it's apparent the aggressor is the corporate employer. In other verses, many relationships can be imagined. In the end this question remainsP: "Do you choose to
tell them what they don't want to hear or do you keep everyone happy by doing and saying what's expected?"
